A special, beautiful and easy to go path. We start from Kritsa, the biggest and well known traditional village in all Crete.

We follow, at the beginning, a dirt road that leads above Theologos, one of the oldest churches in our area, and we head up the mountain of Katharo.

On our way we will meet many sheepfolds and a forest that os covered by cypress trees, and its surrounding vegetation consists of cypress, oak, maple, holly, wild olive and holm oak trees.

Unfortunately, even today, the goats are still roaming in the area and destroy all the undergrowth and small trees, which results in the continuous degradation of the forest.

At the top we will have an amazing view of Merambello bay and Agios Nikolaos.

After our stop at the top we will follow the 4000 years old Minoan path back to the Village of Kritsa.
